NSSE have been authorised Power Advantage Partners of Eaton for more than 30 years. In that time we have supplied and installed Eaton branded UPS solutions totalling over 115mVA for our clients.

A fore-runner setting the standard

Founded in 1981 by three MIT power engineers, APC's focus was originally on solar power research and development. Government funding for their research however dried up and focus was shifted to power protection.

APC introduced its first UPS in 1984 and 23 years later in 2007, it was aquired by Schneider Electric. Combined with MGE UPS Systems it was to form Schneider Electric's Critical Power & Cooling Services Business Unit. In 2011, APC by Schneider Electric became a product brand only, while the company was rebranded as the IT Business Unit of Schneider Electric. Today, the brand APC is synonymous with UPS and remains a major player in the power protection industry.

With so much history and presence on the UPS world stage, APC forms part of NSSE's offerings for Uninterruptible Power Supplies.

A long-established engineering company, now leading in UPS systems

Legrand, founded in 1865, is a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, headquartered in Limoges, France. 

The company entered the UPS market more actively around 2010 and has expanded through acquisitions and partnerships, including companies specialising in power protection technologies. As such, it has one of the highest growth rates in the UPS market with locations in more than 90 countries.

Legrand’s UPS products are widely used in data centres, commercial buildings, and industrial applications, ensuring continuous power supply for mission-critical systems.  Their strong focus on innovation and high quality components, (while boasting impressive sustainability figures), has seen them become a manufacturer to be reckoned with in the UPS world.

Long-term value through commitment to excellence

Founded in 1932 by Ernesto Borri, Borri Group have long produced industrial electrical equipment and have been developing high quality electrical power systems ever since. In 2005, Borri was acquired by a local group of entrepreneurs previously working in key positions by the Borri company and in 2014, merged with Astrid Energy Enterprises in a bid to further strengthen its products and markets.

A company offering its products to many countries around the world and heavily invested in R&D made Borri a good fit for NSSE as a valued long term authorised power partner.

Founded in 1922 with its headquarters in Chicago, Illinois, Tripp Lite maintains a sales presence in over 80 countries offering a variety of product categories, including standard and medical-grade UPS systems. Complying with UL 60601-1 standards, their medical-grade UPS provides dependable battery backup when plugged into a hospital-grade outlet, making them ideal for use in patient care vicinities. Today, Tripp Lite are part of the Eaton Corporation having been aquired in 2021.
